PARKING COMMUNICATION TO RUNNERS – ARRIVE EARLY ON RACE MORNING FROM 4AM
There are 4 allocated parking areas – please refrain from parking illegally in the road and on the race route, EMPD will be clamping and towing vehicles. Please do not park on our neighbours pavements. The following roads will be closed: Florence Road, Riley Road and Harper Road. Van Buuren Road (Thabo Mbeki Road) gets very congested, avoid if you can to get to your parking spot – please use another route. Thoalane Guards is the Official parking guards will be wearing branded reflective vests.
1) Virgin Active Bedfordview – Limited parking get there EARLY from 4am.

Best direction is to arrive from Edenvale off-ramp on R24.

2) Bedfordview Primary School bottom fields – opposite Baileys.

3) New parking on open land next to Jeppe Quandom (not at Jeppe Quandom)

Half Marathon/ 21km Race start is in Riley Road at 06:00 am on 14 January 2024. Race Start cut-off is 06:15am. 5KM Dash Race starts in Riley Road at 6:30 am and the race start cut-off is 6:45am. So you have 15 minutes window to start if you are late. We cannot keep the marshals on the route indefinitely waiting for late runners.
4) PARKING IN ESSEXWOLD
Access via Marais Road or Boeing Road East

GET THERE EARLY AND GRAB A COFFEE ON THE BOTTOM FIELD OF VIRGIN ACTIVE.
Toilets at start and finish venue at Virgin Active Bedfordview – they can be accessed on foot from Riley Road on the bottom field and at the water points along the route.
